AngelicView: This young man, named Geddy, has had an experience during his sleep that tops many Near Death Experiences (NDE’s). Whether you call it an NDE, and OBE, or a Lucid Dream doesn’t really matter. The fact is that he learned seemingly first-hand some of the secrets of Life which went on to change his life and his view of life, and he made this video to tell us about it.

I did have some trouble hearing him until I plugged in my headphones and turned up the volume – then no problems at all.

He begins by introducing himself and tells us what his religious/philosophical background is. Then he tells us that he had never had any kind of supernatural experience before this one. He says that he doesn’t go to sleep in order to lucid dream or prophesize, or for any other reason than to rest and rejuvenate his body.

William Buhlman: OBE’s and Astral Projection

Hello, and welcome! I created this group to initiate and encourage discussion of NDE’s and OBE’s – or a Spiritually Transformative Event of any kind. It is a “closed group” – so that means that whatever is discussed here (either posts or comments) will NOT be seen by all of your Facebook Friends and Family. I hope that by being a closed group, this will encourage much discussion.

Please feel free to post your own experiences of NDE’s or OBE’s, hypnosis, visions, ET visitations, or any event that transformed your life. I encourage asking questions and posting opinions.

I’d wager to bet that most everybody has been there before – Rock Bottom.

For you it may have been because of a divorce, a death of someone close to you, a loss of a great job, a drug addiction, a mental or physical illness, or perhaps just a series of unfortunate events.

It’s the lowest of the low, and if you haven’t seen it yet in this life then I suppose you are lucky.

For those who have been there before, you may have prayed or even cried out to God to help you. The story like was told in the last post “A Diamond in the Flesh” would have been just the ticket to get you up off the floor and give you hope and courage – knowing that you now have the clarity of vision to move back on up and out of your dark place.

A Diamond in the Flesh

AngelicView: I want to share this amazing STE (Spiritually Transformative Event) with all of you today. Thanks to John for sharing your story 🙂

In the late winter of 1984, I was despondent and contemplating suicide. I had acquired two razor blades and had a plan to end my life. From that despair came the greatest spiritual experience that has ever happened me. Here is the story of the night God visited me.

In 1983, I entered monastery in central Minnesota. At this time I won’t go into all the background about my life, but I was troubled on a lot of different levels and I had become convinced that I needed to go to the monastery to pursue a life of contemplation and spirituality. I felt estranged from my family, sort of a failure at college, a failure at relationships, without too many prospects for a good future. At 24 years of age, I was lost.

After getting through a three month candidacy period, I had entered the novitiate and was living in an older part of the quadrangle in the monastery. The life of a novice is one of many hours of silence, so I felt pretty isolated to begin with. I didn’t get along with most of the other novices, I had come from such a different background. This increased my sense of isolation and loneliness, which in turn began to get me deeply depressed. I had way too much time, in the late evening hours all be myself in my room, to ruminate over some of my character issues, the mistakes I had made, and where I had ended up.

Every Single Thing in the World is Divine

AngelicView: This experience is described by Nicole as a “dream”, but I would have to say it sounds like an OBE (Out of Body Experience) in that it happened while she was awake and the experience lasted about one minute (she looked at the clock). Or it could have just simply been a vision. None-the-less, it is very intriguing, as it was prophetic.

My otherworldly experience happened on a cold, snowy day in January. On that day, I found out I was pregnant. My husband and I were very happy with the news, although admittedly, we hadn’t exactly been eager to become parents. Sure, we LIKED kids, but after growing up the eldest of 7 children, I was enjoying a quiet, child-free life with my husband. 

Shortly after the pregnancy test, my husband and I were involved in a minor car accident. The roads were icy that day and the driver behind us rear-ended us. There was very minimal damage to the cars, and nobody got hurt. However, I immediately started worrying about the baby. My husband tried to convince me that the impact was too minor to possibly harm the baby. It was too early in the pregnancy to hear a heartbeat or see the baby in an ultrasound, so I tried telling myself to just relax until the fetus was large enough to be seen/heard in utero by my doctor.

Evidence of the Afterlife

He gave a speech at the IANDs NDE Conference in 2010 regarding his findings up to that point on his research of Near Death Experiences. And, lucky for us, they recorded it!

God Is Everyone and Works Through Us All

AngelicView: This man was wondering about the meaning of life, researching on the internet for some answers and he’s getting to the point of “brain overload” where things are just not really “computing” anymore, when he seems to start out having a kundalini experience, and transcends into a full-blown OBE (Out of Body Experience) where he is given the answers he is seeking. I had for a couple of months begun to seek God and the meaning of life. I researched daily, several hours, on the internet about everything from evolution to theories of creation.

At the point of time when I had my experience I had become more and more convinced that an intelligence laid behind everything that exists in the universe. I was, however, afraid of God, judgment, punishment and eternal doom after death, probably because I under my entire childhood had a father who was a member of Jehovah´s Witnesses who have minted my view on God and religion.

This was a late afternoon in spring, around Mar/April year 2010 and I was located at my middle brother´s house to be a babysitter for his three year old son, as my brother was at a friend’s house. I sat at the computer searching on Google about Christianity and particularly Jesus, as I had been given a speck of hope that I would not be doomed because I didn’t want to be a Jehovah´s Witness. This was because a friend of mine at the Pentecostal church had explained to me that Jesus had already taken the punishment for my past and future sins. I thought this sounded fantastic, but too good to be true. Under my entire uprising I had been given a picture of a harsh and demanding God through my father.

I was confused and tired of all the searching and felt genuinely up given because it felt difficult for me to believe in a forgiving God. So I prayed a desperate prayer there at my brother’s house as his child had fallen asleep. I prayed for forgiveness and wisdom. I wanted to know who God really was. Nothing happened and I once again sat down in front of the computer and looked trough some Christian websites and forums, my head was completely empty like a zombie because of all my brooding.

“The Earth School Experience was One Part of My Evolution”

AngelicView: This is a story of an NDE (Near Death Experience) from a woman who had brain surgery. She would go into the spirit realm when her body was unstable, and then move back into her body when it was more stabilized. After a craniotomy, the body clinically hovered between life and death for two days. My spirit left the body at that time. I looked down at the body, and although it wasn’t a pretty sight, I was not concerned. I perceived it to be a vehicle, which carried me through the earth school. I was in a place of love, kindness, compassion, contentment, acceptance, joy…a place of “knowing”. I perceived myself and other beings as masses of energy…all connected and yet separate. There were no body forms, or communication as I know it in human form.

There was simply a sense of all knowing. Each and every spirit being was supportive of each other, and I “knew” them, although they didn’t have the same forms as when I knew them on the earth school. There were no limitations such as space or time in the spirit world. I was aware of the big picture regarding the past, present and future. I was aware that the earth school experience was one part of my evolution.

The Many Make up The One and The One is Within The Many

AngelicView: NDE from sleep apnea where the experiencer was able to confirm parts of his Out of Body Experience with news reports he had heard on the radio while out of his body.

NDERF called it a “possible NDE”, because it lacked one certain detail that NDE’s usually have (and, no, it’s not the fact that he didn’t see a brilliant white light). Can you figure out what it is?

The concept of astral projection has been around for a long time, but until today, it has been hidden from most of humanity. Now, with the aid of astral projection, new levels of knowledge and power enable us to discover the answer to Man’s eternal question about life in the physical body. Death takes on a new meaning as we begin to realize that it is only a transition to another dimension, or place of existence. By learning to astral project, we can learn many things about ourselves, and unlearn many things that were previously thought to be true. This leads us to the realization that our physical bodies are only a part of our entire selves, and there is more to our existence than meets the eye!

In our limited awareness, the reality we live and breathe on earth, with its beautiful landscapes, mountains, rivers, streams, animals and insects, can be compared with the petals on a flower. What we see is not the whole flower, but only a part. This is because man has lost touch with the use of his own mind. He concludes, erroneously, that the physical world is the only reality there is. He believes that his life as an individual has only to do with the flesh body of himself, and concludes that the physical world is solid and real because his senses tell him it “feels” solid and real.

The NDE and the Law of Attraction

Another thing supportive of the law of attraction is how consistently time is viewed as an illusion.

I shot out of my body at an incredible speed enveloped in a golden light. Suddenly I was in a void. The void was microscopic and infinitely huge at the same time. It was the most soothing color of brown or gray. I’ve never seen a color like it on earth. I felt completely at home and comforted–both peaceful and ecstatic at the same time.  

Then I heard a voice that was louder than anything I’d ever heard before. It was so loud it should have hurt my ear drums. But it didn’t. It was soothing. It said, “EVERYTHING IS NOW.” And with those words came a sudden understanding so huge, so great, so infinite. I understood everything all at once…

And not only that, but every possible outcome for every possible situation that could ever happen is happening at the same time. At this very moment. At every moment. ~Linda U 

A key tenet of the law of attraction is that we should assume the feeling of our desire fulfilled and live it now. Even Jesus taught it:

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer,  believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (ESV)

The Illusions of Reality: Life, Death, & Time

AngelicView: Thanks to my friend, Laron, at Transients.info for bringing this video to my attention.  It is an interview with Researcher, Anthony Peake. The information contained is much the same as the information in Tom Campbell’s discussions (Reality 101 and Reality 101 & My Big Toe). I decided to watch it anyway, however, because I like to hear different perspectives and different ways of explaining things.

The information, combining Quantum Mechanics and personal experiences, like OBE’s, is not all that complicated that would make it incomprehensible to most people, but I like to know a subject that I’m interested in well enough to be able to explain it to someone else – not just well enough to be able to ‘sort of get it’ while someone else is describing it to me.

Take, for example, the case of the double-slit experiment (and this is really mind-blowing). That experiment has been done over and over by different scientists since the 1950’s. At that time, they didn’t really have a good grasp on what the experiment was showing us. Actually, some of the scientists may have understood what the results meant – but that conclusion, for the most part, was rejected pending further analysis.

So to put it in terms easy-to-understand, they shot light through some slits and observed how it reacted on the other side of the slits. When the light was observed, it looked like a particle. When the light was not directly observed, it looked like a wave. This was also done with other things made up of atoms (so a 3-dimensional thing) called “Buckey Balls”, resulting in the same observances! So what does this mean?

When you look at something (anything), it is a particle, which is a 3-dimensional thing taking up space. However, if you don’t look at it, you get a wave or an interference pattern.

So if there’s a tree in the forest, and no one has ever looked at it before – ever – does it really exist? That is the kind of profound questions that Quantum Science is asking. Does that blow your mind a little bit?

How Can I Break Through the Veil?

I am writing this because several people have asked me this question lately, and so I wanted to address it. This is an opinion piece based on my studies of NDE’s, OBE’s, and STE’s, and so should not be taken as fact but as an educated guess kind of thing.

People want to know how they, too, can have the experiences such as are described in NDE’s/OBE’s/STE’s. Here is my answer:

In many cases OBE’s and STE’s are completely spontaneous. There is no cause for it that can be established. I think it’s possible that these types of experiences are ones that we have planned into our life blueprint – we actually planned to have the experience, in many cases, before we incarnated on Earth. So many people are having these experiences that I also have to think that it’s possible that each one of us might (or at least a lot of us might)  have this type of experience sometime in this lifetime.

In the case of NDE’s, there was a life-threatening event. Now, don’t go thinking that you’re going to try to cause this kind of experience by threatening your own life, because it won’t work and in the end, the Universe is going to make sure that you’re kicked in your butt for trying it.

Some people have these types of experiences through meditation. That never worked for me, personally, but that doesn’t mean it won’t for you.

Other people use drugs/plants/mushrooms to get the experience. I don’t recommend that. But some people have had wonderful experiences and have pierced the veil that way.

“Oh, That’s the Other Me”

AngelicView: The proof is all over the place around here that there are actually not one but two separate beings that inhabit our bodies. There is the being that controls the human vessel, and there is our Spirit that does the thinking and the philosophizing. And this is just another example.

He was driving his car when he had a SOBE (Spontaneous Out of Body Experience). It then went into an NDE-like experience. The thing is is that his body kept driving the car. Time had passed while he was gone and when he got back to his body, it was laying on his bed. The experience was life-changing for him. Thank you, Michael, for sharing your experience. 🙂

I was driving home from work. Wasn’t really tired but I was on “auto-pilot”.

Next thing I know I am totally disoriented because I am looking down from above at the top someone’s head. He was sitting down. I remember after a while thinking,  “Oh, that’s the other me,” and not thinking anything of it.

As soon as I realized that I moved higher and through the roof and started accelerating through this complete blackness. I remember I wasn’t scared but very excited. The thrill of moving that fast was amazing.

This man they are interviewing, William Buhlman, makes some profound statements about human consciousness that I completely agree with according to my studies. I love to hear people verbalize these things the way I would if I were so eloquent! I highly recommend this video if you are interested in the subject matter.

“Yes, I Can Handle the Pain”

AngelicView: This is a very interesting SOBE (Spontaneous Out of Body Experience) in which the man was taken to a heavenly place in order to ask him a question about his life. Includes stunning details about the landscape. Thanks to Brett for sharing his experience.

My first memory is of a dark tunnel, either being pulled or “sucked” very quickly towards an extremely bright white light, so bright that I was afraid that I would be incinerated, or at the very least blinded if I was to enter the light. I wanted to stop in the tunnel but there was nothing to grab on to so I tried to close my eyes thinking that I would be blinded if I didn’t. As soon as I entered the light I was immediately standing in front of 2 men but was preoccupied with looking at the landscape around me which was of gorgeous meadows and random trees. I was amazed that not only did the light not blind me but it was completely natural and comfortable. I couldn’t believe how crystal clear my vision was and how perfect everything looked.

A Grand Journey of Awakening

AngelicView: This is a SOBE (Spontaneous Out of Body Experience) that happened during sleep, which so many of them do. If you ask the person, they will tell you unequivocally that it was not a dream, and that it was real. Since studying so many NDE’s, I can see the commonalities in the stories. These kind of experiences are life-changing events – no one is ever the same afterward. Thanks to Joe for sharing his experience.

The following account is to the best of my ability an attempt to put into words what happened to me. I will however fall short of being able to describe the intensity of emotion to some aspects as no words that I know can be used to convey the full depth of my personal experience. I will denote these points with the * symbol. 

It was a perfect night to be walking home about 3 miles from a party that my younger uncle by 2 years had been to. There were no clouds in the sky and as we lived in a very rural town there were no street lights to impede the brilliance of the stars and on a couple occasions made note of how clear the full moon appeared. Upon reaching the four concrete steps that lead to the front door to of the 12 room hotel that my grand father owed who was my guardian at the time, I made note of how short the usually long walk seemed and was just a smidge sadden that it was over. Chalking up the pleasant hike to the 2 shots of butterscotch schnapps I had drank just before setting out I thought to myself “I am gonna have to get me a bottle of that” for the dreaded 8 mile walk to Monet MO. next week where the drive in theater was. As we entered our hotel room it was dark and quiet as it was after midnight and my grandparents were already in bed, my uncle and I silently made our way to our bedroom which we shared making just enough noise and small talk to let granddad ( a notoriously light sleeper ) know it was us and not a burglar, we went to bed and asleep.

Out of Body – Back in 5! (Part 2)

AngelicView: I decided to make a Part 2 because there are so many interesting OBE’s out there, and they are generally short stories. So I’ll put each person’s story in a different color. This group of OBE’s are NDE-like. In other words, there was no death of the physical body, and yet the experience had some NDE qualities associated with it. (Link to Part 1)

Sometime during the night I found myself wide awake and floating just an inch or so above my body facing the ceiling. I found this very frightening as I was beginning to float up and towards my right. I grabbed onto my wife’s shoulder to try and stay where I was. Although her shoulder felt solid to me, it did not help me to hold on. I even tried to shake her shoulder to wake her up. Again it felt solid but I could not keep a grip. At this point, I floated out of my bedroom, into the living room. At this point I thought, “oh my God I’m dying.” I’ll never see another sunset or drive my car again. I’ll never see another morning. It was at this point I Found myself standing in outer space. A disembodied voice that came from somewhere to my right said “Only people matter” That’s it, nothing else. At that moment I realized that I had a type of body that was hovering upright. I had human form but without features. I guess I was a type of shadow. I was also at that point filled with a level of joy/happiness that is truly indescribable. I also was aware that I could ask any question imaginable and instantaneously know the answer.

The knowledge was unfathomable, yet I asked no question. I absolutely believe if I even thought a question I would immediately have the answer. It was at this point that I started to look around. Mostly it was dark, but when I looked to my right, I could see the planet earth as if in H D. It looked like the pictures taken from space by N A S A. It was very clear and about the size of a dime. At this point I again turned my attention toward my new form. I looked at my arm and hand. they seemed like dark shadows. I felt no sense of touch or any physical sensations. As I looked off into space, I stared off into the distance at about a two o’clock angle. At this point I leaned forward and for whatever reason, started to literally fly toward that point.

A Simple Urge to Fulfill My Promise

I was standing in my friends doorway, helping them to move a bed. I remember zoning out while my friends decided how to move the bed, I lost feeling to my body, and still stood holding the doorframe. The idea of astral projection was racing through my mind, I had been getting more and more spiritual before the event unfolded, months before. The thoughts were filling my mind to the point where, I unconsciously stopped breathing, (didn’t notice until after the event).

My friend’s ceiling light filled half of his room before I noticed anything strange, then while looking at it, it grew brighter then any light I’ve ever seen. The light engulfed my mind, and my body fell, hitting the back of my head on a hard wood floor which caused me to curl around the doorframe and have a seizure. I could feel my body twitching, hear my friends yelling, and see what was going on, but I was looking from above my body.

Then within seconds I was in a vast field, more beautiful then anything I’ve ever seen, flowers and grass abundant, I was standing on a small incline that dropped slightly until the field was flat. People made of crystalline light were in the field talking and loitering without a care, the field faded into forest about 200 feet away, in the sky were moons of red, blue, green, orange, and the stars shone brighter and more gorgeous then any I’ve seen, it was either dusk, or night time but light enough to see perfectly.

Out of Body – Be Back in 5!

AngelicView: Here is a short collection of some SOBE’s (Spontaneous Out of Body Experiences). Each story is short. I am just sharing them for those who are interested in the subject.

Where are they, really? In what plane or dimension? Or density? What is the Astral Plane? And where is it? Very interesting subject! Many stories state that it looks somewhat the same as it looks while in the body – but different. Here’s a few examples:

OBE: “I Just Wasn’t Ready to Know the Truth”

AngelicView:  There are thousands and thousands of OBE stories online to peruse. How fascinating they are! I am excited about getting to know more about this little piece of human consciousness. (Besides that, some people find NDE’s a bit creepy because of the “death” aspect – but I don’t. I love them.)

In this OBE, the man pretty much falls out of his body during a dream. He was a Religious man, and his experience scared him. He found out that he just wasn’t ready to know the truth yet.

My out of body experience (OBE) occurred in 1998. I was a freshman in college and was away from most of my friends and family for the first time in my life. I had been raised to be a devout Catholic and it was now time for me to work on my faith alone. I was a true believer and I had no intentions of dropping Sunday services and religious activities just because I would now have to go to a new church on my own. The thought not to do so never crossed my mind because I did not view going to mass as a chore or something I had to do for the sake of keeping up pretenses. In short, I loved it.  

My eldest sister, however, was also attending the same university and so I did have some family support there. I was actually sleeping at her apartment when I had my first OBE.  

I had fallen asleep on my the couch at my sister’s apartment the night of my first OBE. I was dreaming about a lecture that I had attended earlier that day. While in the dream, I was sitting down listening to the professor speak when I noticed a blue ball of energy slowly rise out of a seat from below and to the right of me. It appeared to be about the size of a basketball and was glowing intently. As I began to really take notice of it, I faded into a darkness that enveloped me and gave me a suffocating feeling. I then had the sensation of rolling over. I landed on the floor and both felt and heard a resonant thud. This startled me to say the least.

In the latter half, an expert in out-of-body exploration and the paranormal, Bob Peterson, discussed a number of topics including OBEs, astral travel, lucid dreams, and sleep paralysis. Peterson said he’s been having OBEs (out-of-body experiences) for over 33 years, and that most OBE authors/researchers agree that we leave our bodies during nightly sleep, and this recharges us with some kind of cosmic energy. However, people aren’t aware of this because they’re unconscious. “The trick is to become conscious and aware of what these experiences are,” he said, adding that there are a variety of techniques to induce an OBE. One of his methods, is when approaching the edge of sleep, to visualize a cube spinning, and start to manipulate it, pulling it closer and further away. You visualize the cube coming closer and closer, and eventually let it pull you out of the body, he detailed. More techniques are posted here.

I Was Back “Home” in the Sea of Tranquility

AngelicView: A very detailed story and great example of a FDE (Fear Death Experience). This happens when a person is sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are about to die. Their spirit pops out of their body. This happened as this guy had been rock-climbing and fell from a high ledge. He was surprised (probably not a strong enough word for it) when he landed fairly softly and without much injury.

It all started when I was alone at Christmas time again and I was due to go to Nepal to climb in the Himalaya and so I wanted to break in my new pair of high altitude climbing boots. I decided to drive to Hadrian’s Wall and walk along the low path below the crags that I had climbed on for many years. I was in a dark mood and not at all feeling pleasant or cheerful.

I left the car in the high car park and walked below Peel Crag admiring the many climbing routes that adorned it before reaching the gap between it and the next climbing crag (Crag Lough) which was by far the highest and longest in the area.

As I continued on my way below Crag Lough, I started to think about some of the strange events that I had experienced but got distracted by a group of climbers on Hadrian’s Buttress. I became annoyed that they seemed to be enjoying themselves whilst I was in such a negative frame of mind. Given that I was hooked on rock climbing it should be no surprise to learn that I suddenly found myself stuck at the crux of a route, some sixty feet above the ground on a small ledge on a route later identified as Jezebel Direct, a Very Severe climb of some 70 feet. How I got there was and still is beyond my comprehension but there I was stuck just below the top unable to move in any direction and to cap it all, it started to rain heavy again.

I had no idea how long I had been perched on that ledge but my body was starting to shake with the intense cold. The rain began to pulsate down the rock face in tiny rivulets, finding its way down inside my sleeves, past my neck, through my clothes and down to the boots.
