AngelicView: I have spent the last two hours searching for this NDE because I wanted to share it with you. I knew it existed… out there… in the NDE-world, but finding it was a bit of a challenge. Once I read it again, I remembered the reason why I didn’t post it when I read it the first time, years ago. It seems very disjointed and if you don’t know what you are looking at – you might get very confused.
I don’t like to generally post a lot of my feelings about what the meaning of the NDE’s are that I post – I like to pretty much leave that up to the reader. In this case, though, I think I will provide my own insights into this NDE. I will post my comments in blue italics, okay? Okay. Let’s get started.
AngelicView: Love this NDE loaded with goodies – including his realizations about life on Earth and reincarnation. You may be particularly interested in what he says about the Earth’s and Humanity’s future. Thanks so much to Duane for sharing your NDE.
What started out as a minor health annoyance took a turn for the worse. The doctor handling my case called in a doctor from the Stanford Medical Center. After a thorough examination, my doctor was optimistic. He said they were developing a new breakthrough operation for what, until now, had been an untreatable condition. Stanford University was about to do another test case operation and my doctor felt I might be an excellent candidate for the new procedure. The surgery could offer significant relief if all went well. And if the surgery didn’t work, my prognosis wasn’t good anyway. To my wife and I, there was no question as to our decision. Without the surgery, where would I be?
More testing began. I was poked and prodded everywhere and relieved of bodily fluids I didn’t know I had. In spite of what the doctors had initially said, once all the tests were completed it seemed the prognosis wasn’t so bright after all. The doctors felt my condition had deteriorated too far for me to survive the operation. Apparently, my medical situation led to an extreme vulnerability to heart attacks and strokes. There was a distinct possibility that I would die on the operating table.
AngelicView: If you weren’t sure about reincarnation before – just wait ’til you see this! I ran across this woman’s story on a public message board, and I’m going to post it here for you to see. She is the mother of a 3 year old boy who amazingly tells the story of himself being a fire fighter who responded to the Twin Towers tragedy on 9-11 – in great detail. She was giving some of the details about what he was telling her in her statements (which she didn’t understand well) when another fire fighter came into the conversation to explain further about what her son was talking about.
I’ll reproduce the conversation for you here.
AV= That’s me B= That’s the boy’s mother J= That’s the firefighter that joined the conversation
Modern studies repeatedly suggest that a significant proportion of people in the Western world now believe in reincarnation.
Although this phenomenon can be traced back to various esoteric movements that flourished from the second half of the 19th century, it gained significant ground with the explosion of popular interest in Eastern spiritual approaches in the 60s. And it was reinforced by a proliferation of therapists offering to regress people into their past lives.
Astronomer & Skeptic Carl Sagan, 1996: “There are three claims in the [parapsychology] field which, in my opinion, deserve serious study,” the third of which was “that young children sometimes report details of a previous life, which upon checking turn out to be accurate and which they could not have known about in any other way than reincarnation.”
One of the most culturally significant reincarnation cases involves Barbro Karlen, who I have had he honor of doing joint presentations with for over a decade. I first met Barbro in 2000 and I now consider her a very goodfriend. I would like to share her experiences with you. At the end of this article, a video may be viewed in which Barbro tells her story in her own words.
AngelicView: This is a short NDE story that I just had to share – a child drowning experience. The string of pearls of light contained…. well, you’ll see
They brought me into the emergency room and began to attempt to resuscitate me. They were not having much success. All this time I am floating around them.
I tried to communicate with them but they did not hear me. I could hear them speaking as well as hearing their thoughts and they thought it was hopeless.
I had no pain or discomfort. Eventually I began to look around the room and noticed what I can only describe as a black hole or void that followed me around. I some how recognized it and went into it. I had no fear. When I did this I found myself in a tunnel of light with a sensation of speed like I was moving faster and faster. I came out the other end into an area that was misty of foggy looking. I heard a voice tell me not to stop but to keep going. I was flying through this misty place for what seemed to be a bit of time and eventually I came to the end. I saw a blackness, like a starless sky may look … except there was one light. It seemed small so I headed for it and as I did it got bigger and bigger and bigger … I was going to enter this light. It was now what might be like standing before a sun except it was of a pure white light. As I was about to enter it two large swirling energy forms with human like shape emerged from it. They said to me [in my mind] “what are you doing here”? I said “I’m going into the light “. They said “It is not your time “.
AngelicView: Well, Edgar Cayce actually said a lot of things about Jesus. He did because when people came to him for a “reading”, they would often ask about Jesus. And did you know that Edgar Cayce did about 14,000 recorded readings? That’s a lot! Thanks to Near-Death.com for putting together this article.
Introduction to Cayce’s Revelations of the Christ
The system of metaphysical thought which emerges from the Cayce material can be described as a “Christianized” version of the mystery religions of ancient Egypt, Chaldea, Persia, India, and Greece. It fits Christ into the mystical tradition of one God for all people, and places Christ in his proper place, at the apex of the philosophical structure – the capstone of the pyramid.
Cayce was a fundamentalist Christian who was raised in strict nineteenth century Bible tradition. When he discovered that his subconscious information declared the ancient mystic religions to be true and acclaimed Jesus as their crowning glory, he suffered the greatest mental and emotional shock of his life. Cayce had only a seventh grade education and consciously knew nothing of what he said while in a deep trance-like state. He was only versed in the Bible and had no high school or college background of any kind. Up until his revelations, Cayce had never heard of the mystery religions. Yet the Cayce material agrees with everything about them that is known to be authentic. He spoke at length on Christian Gnosticism well before the Gnostic writings were discovered after his death. Cayce affirmed that Christian Gnosticism is the type of Christianity that was taught by Jesus. Much of the information from Cayce has solved some of the greatest mysteries of humanity, some of which were later validated after the discoveries of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the early Christian writings discovered in Egypt.
