Dr. Douglas James Cottrell Akashic Record Reading

AngelicView: I was listening to Coast to Coast last night and this guy was on, Dr. Douglas James Cottrell, and he was described as the “Canadian Edgar Cayce”. This got my attention, of course, because I love Edgar Cayce. Apparently this guy goes into a deep meditative trance very similar to what Edgar Cayce did and brings back information from the Akashic Records.

I cannot post Coast to Coast shows here because every time I did in the past, the channel gets taken down right after I post. I know, right?! So I decided to take notes on what he said so I could pass it all on to you. I hadn’t heard of this guy before, so I Googled his name and came up with many quite positive things said about him. Having said that, though, I think you should probably take what he says with a grain of salt. It really is mostly “doom and gloom” type of stuff and things that many prophets before him have said. I want you to know that even though I find this kind of thing interesting, it’s not something I lay awake at night and worry about.

So remember, these are just my notes and not a word-for-word translation of what he said. Below my notes you will find some additional information from Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. on the Akashic Records.

Edgar Cayce on Atlantis

AngelicView: This is an excerpt from the book “Edgar Cayce – The Sleeping Prophet; The Life, The Prophecies, and the Readings of the World’s most Famous Mystic“, published freely on the web here.

“At Last, Atlantis”

Just as man has gazed fascinated into the sea, atavistically peering into his past, so has he engaged in a restless quest for Atlantis. In the ocean, said naturalist Rachel Carson, he found from whence he had sprung, and in Atlantis, a dream of a superior culture, prefacing the brief few thousand years of recorded history with which he measures his meager progress.

Since Plato first described the Lost Continent of the Atlantic twenty-five hundred years ago, more than two thousand books have been written about a legendary land that nobody has seen. There have been books to prove Atlantis, books to disprove it. Some have been by erudite scientists, others by dreamers in search of a Shangri-La.

While oceanographers, geologists, and ordinary sea-divers have been fanning out over the Atlantic for centuries in the underwater quest,Edgar Cayce merely went to sleep, and saw visions of a magic continent which went through three periods of breakup, the last some eleven or twelve thousand years ago.

Waking, Cayce didn’t know anything about lost continents and when his first mention of Atlantis was called to his attention, he rubbed his eyes and said in that gentle way of his,

“Now I wonder where that came from, and if there’s anything to it?”

Lemuria

AngelicView: I have always been fascinated with the thought of Lemuria. This article is an excerpt from the book, “Where Were You Before the Tree of Life?” In it, it says that Lemuria existed way back when Earth was a 4th Dimensional (Density) world.

Chapter 8

The Branch of Lemuria

Although life as we know it began on the planet as much as ten and a half million years ago, it is, as Kryon says, only worth looking back at the information that is no older than 100,000 years. Before that time, one is looking at humans who were not in fact like us, and not really part of our direct lineage.

One must also remember that prior to the Great Flood of 9,000 BC, the planet was still fourth dimensional. Keeping this in mind, there are many who will speak of MU and Lemuria as being two separate cultures though in truth they were just on a different vibrational level. One aspect of the population in the early history of Mu was that they had the ability to come and go at will from their bodies, much like experienced astral travelers do—for the astral is the plane of the fourth dimension itself.

Mu, at that time, was a state of consciousness on this planet. It could exist in the West today and the South tomorrow and in the East the next day. It was a state of conscious existence. It could rise like a landmass out of the sea and it could disappear just as easily. That is not something that’s easily understand now because people are in a heavier vibration where things are much more fixed and move at a much slower pace.

There was a marked difference at that time also in the DNA structure, the crucial records of our genetic history stored within each and every cell.

Edgar Cayce mentions these early times and hints at the higher dimensional nature of the Lemurians in a few of his readings, but they are kind of nebulous, and lacking in very much detail:

“In the land known as Utah or Nevada, when the first peoples were separated into groups as families. . . The entity [entity, sometimes called soul entity, refers to the soul or spirit, that part of an individual which Cayce said survives death] developed much and gave much to the people who were to succeed in that land, and in the ruins as are found in the mounds and caves in the northwestern portion of New Mexico may be seen some of the drawings the entity made. Some ten million years ago.

(no. 2665-2, July 17, 1925)

“. . The number of human souls then in the earth plane being 133,000,000 . . . the period in the world’s existence from the present time being 10,500,000 years ago. When man came in the earth plane as lord of that in that sphere, man appeared in five places then at once—the five senses, the five reasons, the five spheres, the five developments, the five nations.”

(no. 5748-2, May 28, 1925)

Very few of Cayce’s life readings refer specifically to incarnations in this ancient period.

New York Times (1910): Illiterate Man Becomes A Doctor When Hypnotized

700th Post

AngelicView: I came across this picture (above) and was so interested to see what they were saying about Edgar Cayce at the time when he was living and at his prime. Squinting and struggling to read the words, I thought to search for the article online and found it at Cayce.com and have reprinted that article below for you to read if you are interested. Edgar Cayce has blown my mind so many times, I’ve lost count! It is particularly amazing to me to see the (honest) reporting that was done back then on one of my favorite people of all time. Too perfect for my 700th post!

Now, Edgar Cayce wasn’t “illiterate” in the same terms that we think of an illiterate person today. When I think of someone who is “illiterate”, I think of one who cannot read or write. Mr. Cayce did complete his 8th year at (public) school and was in his 9th year when the family no longer had the funds necessary to keep sending him to school. It was said that he read the Bible once a year, every year. So he could read and write a little bit. However, he was certainly not educated in the types of things he would give readings on.

After the article I’ll post a link to the page on Cayce.com where you can go and see what Edgar Cayce recommended for people with certain common illnesses. Just keep in mind that they were recommendations that were hand-picked for that individual and you may not necessarily see the same results (although you might) if you were to try the same things.

At the time of this article in 1910, Cayce had done about 1,000 readings. By his death, he had done well over 14,000 readings that are on the books. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a stenographer to capture the readings until 1923.

Edgar Cayce: “Rivers of Light”

the-book-of-revelation

AngelicView: There is a set of DVD’s from McMillin Media which have been put out on You Tube (published on You Tube by McMillin Media) for free – all on the readings of Edgar Cayce. The “Rivers of Light” portion of these sets of DVD’s focuses on Edgar Cayce’s visions regarding what was talked about in The Book of Revelations in the Bible. The playlist consists of 18 videos. The good news (since I know a lot of people would rather read than watch videos) is that below each video is a written account that is almost word-for-word of what’s in the video. And since posting multiple videos is a bit time-consuming, posting the words would also be quicker and easier for me, too.

If you would rather watch the playlist of videos instead of reading about it, then click the link below. It will take you to the first video in the playlist. After each video ends, you do not need to do anything as it will automatically go on to the next video in the playlist.

To View the Playlist of Videos Click Here

Otherwise, just keep reading.

What did Edgar Cayce say about Jesus?

AngelicView: Well, Edgar Cayce actually said a lot of things about Jesus. He did because when people came to him for a “reading”, they would often ask about Jesus. And did you know that Edgar Cayce did about 14,000 recorded readings? That’s a lot! Thanks to Near-Death.com for putting together this article.

Introduction to Cayce’s Revelations of the Christ

The system of metaphysical thought which emerges from the Cayce material can be described as a “Christianized” version of the mystery religions of ancient Egypt, Chaldea, Persia, India, and Greece. It fits Christ into the mystical tradition of one God for all people, and places Christ in his proper place, at the apex of the philosophical structure – the capstone of the pyramid.

Cayce was a fundamentalist Christian who was raised in strict nineteenth century Bible tradition. When he discovered that his subconscious information declared the ancient mystic religions to be true and acclaimed Jesus as their crowning glory, he suffered the greatest mental and emotional shock of his life. Cayce had only a seventh grade education and consciously knew nothing of what he said while in a deep trance-like state. He was only versed in the Bible and had no high school or college background of any kind. Up until his revelations, Cayce had never heard of the mystery religions. Yet the Cayce material agrees with everything about them that is known to be authentic. He spoke at length on Christian Gnosticism well before the Gnostic writings were discovered after his death. Cayce affirmed that Christian Gnosticism is the type of Christianity that was taught by Jesus. Much of the information from Cayce has solved some of the greatest mysteries of humanity, some of which were later validated after the discoveries of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the early Christian writings discovered in Egypt.

Edgar Cayce on The Lost Hall of Records

MirageOfPyramids

AngelicView: Three short videos way down there ↓

By John VanAuken, A.R.E. (Association for Research and Enlightenment)

The Lost Hall of Records

One of the most interesting pieces of information to come through Edgar Cayce’s visions is the existence of an ancient Hall of Records. In this Hall are stored the records of a prehistoric descent into matter of the souls who inhabit the Earth today. The records record millions of years of activity in the mythological lands of Mu, Lemuria, Atlantis, Og, Oz, Zu, and others. Actually, Cayce says there are three Halls. One is under the waters near the Bahamian island of Bimini, another is underground near the Sphinx in Giza, Egypt, and the one we are most interested in is beneath a temple in the Mayan lands. The records in this temple are “overshadowed” by another temple that “overhangs” or is built over it. But Cayce says that the Record Hall will “rise again.” He says the records are in the remains of “the temple by Iltar.” Iltar, according to Cayce, was a high priest migrating with his people from the legendary lands of Atlantis to the new “Aryan or Yucatan land” and there built this temple of records.

Records in the waters off Bimini Island in the Bahamas are in a submerged temple, but Cayce says this temple also “will rise and is rising again.” These records are in the temple of “Atlan.” Like Iltar, Atlan was a high priest who attempted to preserve the records of Atlantis, but his temple sunk during a series of earthquakes that destroyed Atlantis.

Edgar Cayce on Human Origins (Part 3) (Final)

(Continued from Part 2)

Girl

The Law of Karma as a Lesson for Soul Evolution

At present, humanity is in a state of great spiritual darkness – the darkness which precedes dawn. Humanity developed a level of skepticism which reached a point where it forced humans to make conclusions they knew was intuitively wrong. At the same time, humanity continued their investigation of natural phenomena to the point where conscious awareness disproved all the higher knowledge souls had acquired in the beginning. The free will of humanity is discovering how all roads to higher knowledge leads toward the same destination and conclusions. Scientific, theological, and philosophical knowledge, which has no desire to join forces, are approaching a point of merger. Skepticism faces destruction by its own hand.

Humanity is at all times the total of what they have been and done, what they have fought and defended, and what they have hated and loved. In the three-dimensional consciousness of every human, in every atom of the human body, is a reflection of the soul and a crystallization of their individuality. Their emotional and nervous structures, their mental abilities, aptitudes, aversions, preferences, fears, follies, ambitions, and character, are the sum of what humans have done with their free will. This makes every personality, as the earthly “cloak” of an individuality, is different from every other personality.

C2C: Star-Gazing and Edgar Cayce

StarryNight2

AngelicView: Ooh! They’re talkin’ about one of my very favorite peeps on Coast to Coast today. 😉

Astronomy writer and lecturer James Mullaney discussed the metaphysical aspects of stargazing, discoveries in the universe, and the work of the “Sleeping Prophet” Edgar Cayce. He studied thousands of Cayce’s readings, with a particular emphasis on what he wrote about the universe and the cosmos.”There is no doubt in my mind…that he was tapping into the great intellect behind the universe,” which he referred to as the Akashic records, Mullaney commented.

Cayce had access to information that no one at that time even knew about, and was far beyond his limited education, such as his assertion that the Asteroid Belt was caused by a kind of planetary collision or disruption, Mullaney noted.

Edgar Cayce on Human Origins (Part 2)

(Continued from Part 1)

The Invisible Planetary Afterlife Dimensions of Our Solar System

Planets and solar systems became a temptation to souls. Each solar system had its own course and its own plan. Souls moved toward them through the activity of a constant stream of mind. When a soul leaped into the stream (by immersing itself in the system through which the stream was flowing) it had the force of the current to contend with, and its free will was hampered. It was very easy, under these circumstances, to drift with the current.

Each solar system also represents an opportunity for development, advancement, and growth toward the ideal of complete companionship with God – the position of co-creator in the vast system of universal mind.

Our solar system also attracted souls. Since each solar system is a single expression of the divine, with its planets as integral parts, the Earth came into the path of souls.

Each solar system in the universe is like an atom in a universe of worlds. Atoms have quantum levels for electrons to travel around. The sun has “quantum levels” for planets to travel around. The planets of our solar system are physical representations of heavenly dimensions. These levels as a whole are the consciousness of our solar system. There are nine planetary-afterlife dimensions to the consciousness of our solar system. The planet Earth represents the third dimension where three-dimensional life is experienced in our solar system.

Edgar Cayce on Human Origins (Part 1)

From Spirit to Flesh to Divine Union

In The Beginning, God…

People usually demand a beginning, so in the beginning there was a sea of spirit and it filled all of space. The spirit was static, content, and aware of itself. It was a giant resting on the bosom of its thought and contemplating what it is.

Then the spirit moved into action. It withdrew into itself until all of space was empty. In the center, the restless mind of the spirit shone. This was the beginning of the individuality of the spirit. This was what the spirit discovered itself to be when it awakened. This spirit was God.

God desired self-expression and desired companionship; therefore, God projected the cosmos and souls. The cosmos was built with music, arithmetic, geometry, harmony, system, and balance. The building blocks were all of the same material – the life essence – God simply changed the wavelength and rate of vibration of these building blocks thereby creating the patterns for multitudes of life forms. This action resulted in the law of diversity which supplied endless patterns. God played on this law of diversity as a pianist plays on a piano – producing melodies and arranging them in a symphony.

The Evolutionary Plan for Souls

Each design carried within it the plan for its evolution – both physical and spiritual. This plan corresponds to the sound of a note struck on a piano. The sounds of several notes unite to make a chord; chords in turn become phrases; phrases become melodies; melodies intermingle and move back and forth, across and between and around each other, to make a symphony. Then in the end, the music will stop and the physical universe will be no more; but between the beginningCreatorBeing3 and the finish of the music, there was glorious beauty and a glorious experience. The spiritual universe will continue on.

Everything assumed its design in various forms and their activity resulted in the laws of attraction and repulsion. All forms would attract and repel each other in their evolutionary dance.

All things are a part of God and an expression of God’s thought. The Mind of God was the force which propelled and perpetuated these thoughts. All minds, as thoughts of God, do everything God imagined. Everything which came into being is an aspect of this One Mind.

All things, including the souls of individuals, were created as “fractals” of God for companionship with God – the “Whole.” A fractal  This revelation from Cayce revealed the astonishing fact of how self-similar the universe is on every scale: from the atom to biological organisms, from human beings to the planet Earth, from solar systems to galaxies, from the universe(s) to God.

The pattern God used to create souls was the pattern of God’s own Spirit. The spirit is life. From the spirit, the mind builds patterns. From the mind, the physical creation is the result. This is how the spirit, the mind, and individuality, became the pattern for souls. This is how cause, action, and effect became the pattern for everything. First there was the spirit (the first cause); then there was the action which withdrew spirit into itself; then there was the resulting individuality of God.

Edgar Cayce on the Book of Revelation

Edgar Cayce on the Book of Revelation

Cayce’s Dream Interpretation of the Revelation

Through Cayce’s otherworldly journeys, he learned the true interpretation of the Bible. According to Cayce, the Bible is the symbolic account of the fall and restoration of the human soul to its divine origins. Genesis is the symbolic testimony of humanity’s fall from heaven and paradise lost. Revelation is the symbolic testimony of humanity’s restoration to heaven and paradise found.DivineUniversalPlan

The Book of Revelation was written by a man named John(possibly John the Apostle) toward the end of his life. John records a vision he experiences, probably while dreaming or meditating. This vision contains a tremendous amount of symbolism; the same kind of symbolism one would see in a dream, a vision of the spirit world. In fact, the Book of Revelation contains the same symbolism found in the symbols in the Prophet Daniel’s dream. All Biblical dreams, such as those of Joseph, Gideon, Daniel, Paul, and Peter, are very symbolic and therefore had a hidden spiritual meaning rather than a literal interpretation of the symbols. Such is the case with the Book of Revelation.

During several of Cayce’s journeys into the spirit realms, he was able to unlock the secrets to the symbolism in the Book of Revelation. He gave a large amount of information specifically for the purpose of discovering the book’s hidden meaning.
