Dr. Douglas James Cottrell Akashic Record Reading

AngelicView: I was listening to Coast to Coast last night and this guy was on, Dr. Douglas James Cottrell, and he was described as the “Canadian Edgar Cayce”. This got my attention, of course, because I love Edgar Cayce. Apparently this guy goes into a deep meditative trance very similar to what Edgar Cayce did and brings back information from the Akashic Records.

I cannot post Coast to Coast shows here because every time I did in the past, the channel gets taken down right after I post. I know, right?! So I decided to take notes on what he said so I could pass it all on to you. I hadn’t heard of this guy before, so I Googled his name and came up with many quite positive things said about him. Having said that, though, I think you should probably take what he says with a grain of salt. It really is mostly “doom and gloom” type of stuff and things that many prophets before him have said. I want you to know that even though I find this kind of thing interesting, it’s not something I lay awake at night and worry about.

So remember, these are just my notes and not a word-for-word translation of what he said. Below my notes you will find some additional information from Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. on the Akashic Records.

AngelicView: I love this short article, which brings together theories from quantum science and theories from spirituality (which is really what I’m trying to do here in this blog – I’m not the only one!) This article discusses the theories of Erwin Laszlo, Philosopher of Science (yes, that’s his title). He wrote the book “Science and the Akashic Field: An Integral Theory of Everything”.

“To Be or Not to Be… the Question may be Irrelevant”

A swirling vortex of subatomic particles, influenced by gravity, solar energy and subtle nuclear forces; this is our universe…this is our reality.  Some may find that description to be cogent while others may find cause to question.

I am real, my world is real, and it is made up of real things, with texture and depth and value. Or is it?  The science of physics, coupled with the sciences of evolutionary biology and neurobiology, have given us a grander, closer view of reality, closer than most are aware.  It has shown, with remarkable accuracy and overwhelming consistency, that we and our world are nothing more than a massive collection of particles, spinning and vibrating in different ways, depending on our spatial relationship to the various energies that surround us.

Physics or more specifically, quantum physics is the study of small things, the micro universe, the subatomic universe and beyond.  Its principal endeavour is to find, through scientific experimentation and theoretical mathematics, a way to describe the entire universe –or to find a theory of everything.  The likes of Stephen Hawking, Michio Kaku, Brian Greene and many, many more brilliant theoretical and applied physicists have defined reality to an amazing depth.  They have, collectively, provided answers to some of life’s most vexing questions, and they, along side some of the most brilliant minds of natural science, such as Richard Dawkins, P.Z. Meyers and a host of others are on the brink of finding definitive answers to any question mankind might ever conceive.

Though one question still stands unanswered, a question that has been the focus of philosophy’s greatest orators for millennia…Consciousness.  What is it?  Where does it come from?  Is it intrinsic to all life, or is it unique to higher mammals?

C2C: Star-Gazing and Edgar Cayce

Astronomy writer and lecturer James Mullaney discussed the metaphysical aspects of stargazing, discoveries in the universe, and the work of the “Sleeping Prophet” Edgar Cayce. He studied thousands of Cayce’s readings, with a particular emphasis on what he wrote about the universe and the cosmos.”There is no doubt in my mind…that he was tapping into the great intellect behind the universe,” which he referred to as the Akashic records, Mullaney commented.

Cayce had access to information that no one at that time even knew about, and was far beyond his limited education, such as his assertion that the Asteroid Belt was caused by a kind of planetary collision or disruption, Mullaney noted.

Chris Thomas: Akashic Records

AngelicView: Lisa Harrison interviews Chris Thomas, who claims that he can access the Akashic Records. (Now, my Kitty is napping on my notes, so from memory) I’ll tell you what it’s about.

It starts out with him telling briefly about his own history and how he realized he could read the Akashic Records. He then goes into what the Akashic Records are and where they are located. 

He says that individuals have their own Records, the planet has her own, the solar system it’s own, the galaxy, and the universe, all have their own Records.
