The brilliant minds behind Solar Roadways published a video detailing their world-changing project earlier this month, but its language didn’t really grab anyone’s attention.
This new one from creator Scott Brusaw, however, most definitely does not make this mistake.
“Solar FREAKIN’ Roadways!” is filled with passionate excitement and specifically targets young adult minds while explaining the capabilities of this invention, which may seriously be the key to the next stage of human evolution.
All Brusaw’s need is a little cash and we can kiss economic woes, pollution and a whole lot of car accidents goodbye forever.

Wont b long in the current climate b 4 pannels are stolen for the copper. Not everyone is an open, kind hearted, love and light sharing individual. But we do have to start somewhere.
Yes, but they are likely hard to steal. They have to be tough enough for cars to roll over them, so they cannot be easily picked up. You would likely need special equipment to remove the panel, and if a problem arises then keys can be needed to open the panel. If you don’t unlock it you cannot use your equipment to remove it. I hope if this problem arises someone will discover this comment, because it would be an easy problem to fix.
I guess a key system is possible to break, but there could be an time consuming way to remove the broken lock (just in case). The amount of effort to remove the lock system has to outweigh the benefit of stealing the panel, yet not overly hard to repair.
I was reading more on it last night and on their website they have a “frequently asked questions”… it seems like they are way ahead of us on thinking of all the problems there could be and having solutions. I guess these panels can hold over 250,000 pounds! Way more than is needed for most semi’s which are 80,000 pounds. The extra weight allowance is for logging trucks (or log haulers).
